FinTech and RegTech: trends, issues and challenges
Date:

Time:

Organizer:
MITA
Vilnius University Tech Hub
The course is in Lithuanian.
The so-called exponential technologies such as the IoT, cloud, artificial intelligence, or blockchain are changing the way how data is collected and processed, how business processes and transactions are executed, and how new services are developed and can be monitored or regulated by responsible institutions.
While industry players are already applying new knowledge to develop financial innovations, to improve customer experience, and to reduce costs, the dual novelty on the process and the tech side implies high uncertainties and risks with regard to management function and the capability of the regulatory function to be effective without compromising legal and ethical norms.
At this conference, we will bring forth views, opinions, and arguments from the industry and academia to discuss the trends and challenges of the financial technologies (FinTech) and their compliance- and regulation-oriented programs (RegTech).
The conference is intended for lecturers, students, enthusiasts, industry, and government reps – all those who can benefit from an open, motivated, interdisciplinary discussion on the topic.
